My path, so far…
Oh… the path! <3
As I look back I see so many ups and downs in my life. Nourishing periods of both light and darkness. The path of life is such a beautiful journey, I welcome it all…
I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay but moved to New York with my family when I was 15 years old. Leaving my whole life, language, and culture behind was my first lesson in non-attachment and letting go. This major life-changing event at such a young age marked my life forever, it forced me to experience my strength and resilience. It gave me the tools I needed to embark on a life-long journey seeking my truth, of learning how to listen to myself and follow my heart.
Throughout my young adult life I gravitated towards the arts scene. As soon as I moved to NY I was captivated by the energy of the East Village and Lower East Side, and later the art and music life of Williamsburg and Bushwick. I loved witnessing people’s individuality and creativity, listening to innovative music and seeing inspiring street art. Looking to dig deeper into my curiosities, I studied Fine Arts and Art History at Hunter College, and then went to graduate school at CCNY, to deepen my studies in art history and museum studies.
Following my love for art, I worked for art galleries and museums in NYC, but I didn’t feel fulfilled by what I was doing. Although I loved what I had studied, there was something missing in my career field. I kept thinking “What about the vibrant creative scene happening now? What about my love for connection, people, and life?”. I wanted to be part of a movement of my time, express an authentic message from my heart and connect with people… but what, how, and where?

By this point I had been practicing yoga for about 10 years. My daily yoga practice started penetrating my emotional body, it started shining light on what wasn’t aligning within myself in my physical life. Among other things, my career wasn’t going where I truly wanted it to go. I needed to follow my truth and search for what made me shine. I therefore embarked on a journey of purification, following only what felt right within me.
This “flow with my truth” path took me to learn more about yoga. At that point Patricia Pinto, one of my first teachers, announced she was leading a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Nosara, Costa Rica with Lila Flow Yoga. I had to take it!
When I came back from my unforgettable training experience, I started reading books about how energy works, the chakras, meditation, and yoga in general. I was very excited to deepen my knowledge about these subjects. What I was learning felt like the ultimate truth, it all made sense, it was healing and connecting. Right away, I felt a sense of duty to share all I was learning with other people, to help them cope with the challenges of life.
I want to share the ancient teachings of yoga because I believe it helps people get healthier in all aspects of their lives (emotionally, physically and mentally). I would like to help people find self-awareness, joy and peace in their constant now. I only hope the teachings I share can help you find more happiness, truth and fulfillment, just as much as they helped me!
Thank you for reading :D
